Changes to Telephone Operator's After-Hours Service
July 7, 2009
On Tuesday, 7/7/09, changes will be made to the University Telephone Operator's after-hours service. Instead of accessing a dial-by-name application, callers will be referred to the web directory,    http://phonebook.uconn.edu. (CO2209)

Beware of Emails Asking For Your Information!

People are receiving a high amount of 'phishing' emails which ask you for sensitive/personal information: (e.g. login ID's and passwords, date of birth, Social Security, etc.). UConn would NOT ask you for this or other personal information. *NEVER REPLY* or even to click an 'unsubscribe' link! Doing so can compromise your personal information, cause your email account and login ID to be suspended, and even result in identity theft. Please contact the Help Center, 860-486-4357, option 3, with concerns or for additional information.

You MUST Register Your Computer!

Effective immediately: you MUST register your computer through the Network Registration (NetReg) database. This needs to be done every year. If you do not NetReg, you will be unable to access resources available through our systems (e.g., internet, Huskymail, Student Administration, e-mail, etc.). Note: You cannot register a computer through a wireless connection or from home. To register your computer go to: http://netreg.uconn.edu

Server Farm Firewall Software Upgrade

Various IT services will be intermittent or unavailable between 5:30 and 6:30 on Tuesday 7/7 while firewall software is upgraded. (CO2267)

Student Admin Unavailable for Maintenance
July 8, 2009
The Student Administration system will be unavailable on Wednesday, July 8, 2009 from 6:30 a.m. until 7:30 am for normal system maintenance. (CO2286)

Student Administration System will be Unavailable
July 24, 2009
SA self-service bursar functions and Bill & Payment Suite will be off line from 5:00 PM Friday, July 24, 2009 to 5:00 PM Saturday, July 25, 2009.  Normal maintenance will be applied to the Student Administration system on  Saturday, July 25, 2009.  The system will be brought down at 11:30 PM Friday, July 24, 2009.  We anticipate that the system will become available after 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 25, 2009.  If necessary, the system may remain unavailable until 7:30 AM on Monday, July 27, 2009.
